The Emir Of Mecca Announces The Allocation Of Land In Al-Faisaliah Project To Establish An Airport For Hajj And Umrah

 

The Advisor Of The Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques, The Emir Of Mecca, Chairman Of The Council For The Development Of The Region, HrH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Announced The Allocation Of Land In The Al Faisaliah Project To Establish A Hajj And Umrah Airport Linked To King Abdulaziz International Airport In Cooperation With The Civil Aviation Authority.
The Emir Of Makkah Region Noted During The Signing Ceremony Of Agreements And Memorandums Of Cooperation For The Faisaliah Project In The Presence Of His Deputy Hrh Prince Badr Bin Sultan And Minister Of Finance Chairman Of The Board Of Directors Of The General Authority For State Real Estate Mohammed Al-Ja’an, That The Project Was Approved By The Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Is Saved By God, And It Is Enough For The Project To Be An Honor That God Supported Him By The One Who Called Him Al-Faisaliah.
The Emir Of Makkah Region Thanked King Salman Bin Abdulaziz And His Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman And The Minister Of Finance For His Great Response To This Project, As Well As The Support Attached To The State Real Estate Authority For Its Contribution To This Great Project, Adding His Highness “I Thank My Brother And Colleague Prince Badr Bin Sultan For His Successful Efforts That Led To The Acceleration Of The Start Of The Project, As Well As The Development Authority Of The Makkah Region Represented By Dr. Hisham Al-Falih For His Efforts In This Regard.”
His Highness Concluded By Inviting Businessmen And Companies Wishing To Contribute In Accordance With The Vision Approved By The Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques To Implement This Project.
This Agreement Is In Line With The Kingdom’s Vision 2030, And As Part Of Efforts To Diversify The Energy Mix To A Sustainable Mix That Benefits From Renewable Energy Sources, In Addition To Optimizing The Utilization Of Hydrocarbon And Mining Resources In Order To Achieve The Sustainable Development Of The Kingdom’s National Economy. The Ministry Of Energy, Industry And Mineral Resources Will Prepare Preliminary Technical And Technical Studies For The Entire Project, Which Will Be Implemented In Several Stages, Including 600 MW To Be Launched By The Office For The Development Of Renewable Energy Projects In General Competition During The Year. Current.
Al Faisaliah Solar Project In Makkah Aims To Feed About 340,000 Homes And Keep Pace With The Expected Increase In The Population And The Resulting Increases In The Population And The Resulting Increases.

His Excellency Ihsan Bin Abbas Bafakih Explained That The Two Agreements Are In Line With The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 In The Development Of Non-Oil Revenues And Investment Of State-Owned Land, Stressing That These Agreements Will Bring Economic Return In Addition To Stimulating And Encouraging The Private Sector To Participate And Contribute To The Development Of Land. State-Owned And The First Opportunities For Cooperation Between Investors In The Real Estate Sector And State Real Estate.
Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Minister Of Energy, Industry And Mineral Resources, Signed A Memorandum Of Understanding On The Sidelines Of The Second Session Of The Makkah Economic Zone Forum 2019, To Start The Implementation Of The 2,600 MW Al Faisaliah Solar Energy Project. The Ministry And The Makkah Region Development Authority.
The Memorandum Is In Line With The Kingdom’s Vision 2030, As Part Of The Ministry Of Energy’s Efforts To Diversify The Energy Mix To A Sustainable Mix That Benefits From Renewable Energy Sources, As Well As To Optimize The Utilization Of Hydrocarbon And Mining Resources And To Achieve Sustainable Development Of The Kingdom’s National Economy.
The Ministry Of Energy, In Cooperation With The Public Investment Fund, Plans To Build A 2,600 MW Solar Project, Where The Ministry Will Prepare Technical And Technical Studies For The Entire Project To Ensure That The Project Is Matched. For Global Specifications And Standards, Which Will Be Implemented In Several Stages, Including 600 MW To Be Put Forward By The Office For The Development Of Renewable Energy Projects In A Public Tender This Year, While The Public Investment Fund And Its Selected Partners Are Developing 2 GW Of The Project Capacity.
Al Faisaliah Solar Project In Makkah Aims To Keep Pace With The Expected Increase In The Population And The Expected Increases In Demand For Electricity And Clean Energy.
The Project Provides Many Advantages, Including Feeding The Electricity Grid In The Western Region At Peak Times, Raising The Security And Flexibility Of Electric Power, Feeding The City Of Faisaliah With Clean Energy And Reducing Carbon Emissions, And Providing Investment And Industrial Opportunities That Will Result In The Creation Of Jobs That Contribute To The Absorption Of And The Development Of Saudi Capabilities.
